Creating Art In Community

This summer we will be hosting an art class for children with and without special needs. Over the course of six Saturdays, we will use pictures from our favorite books as a jumping off point to explore color and shape. The class will culminate in the creation of a group mural.  
 
The class will be led by Elizabeth Graff.  Elizabeth graduated phi beta kappa from Carleton College in 2008 where she majored in art and studied child development.  Before joining Julie Herr & Associates in 2008, Elizabeth collaborated with researchers at Erikson Institute of Child Development Studies on arts integration research and curriculum development.  Elizabeth also works with artist educators, and tutors children at several Chicago schools. She is very excited to offer “Creating Art In Community” at Julie Herr & Associates this summer.

Program Details

Julie Herr & Associates is a pediatric developmental therapy center that offers assessments, guidance, and therapeutic services to families with children.  We provide families with information and give children the therapeutic relationships and experiences they need that lead to typical development.
